A writer and journalist by training, I took an entrepreneurial path 10+ years ago (and climbed a few peaks along the way).

Big mountains & big adventures have shaped my life. I cut my teeth with the New York Times as a reporter covering the outdoors and extreme sports.
I then launched GearJunkie, and millions of readers followed along. By age 30, I was cited as a world expert on all things gear. I took that license with me to test limits in places like Patagonia, Iceland, and on Mount Everest.
In 2021, I buckled down to work at a media startup. We raised $40M and made multiple acquisitions to launch a platform. AllGear Digital came to life in 2022, and today the LA-based company is home to a suite of owned & operated media brands.
For 2026, I'm advising on revenue initiatives, content projects, and audience growth. And trying to keep up with my kids.
